Large international company is seeking a high-energy, experienced J2EE developer with solid experience in Java and database development to help drive design, development, and maintenance
of our internal systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills in J2EE application development and have relevant experience in multi-tiered architectures, object oriented analysis and design, and MVC
based solution design and development.
The position will collaborate proactively with functional users and analysts to translate business and integration requirements into configurable component designs and solutions.
The ideal candidate will reflect a mix of strong technical proficiency, application maintenance ownership, and the ability to work effectively with other business and technology personnel and internal customers to provide very
responsive support to this global application.
Specific skill requirements include:
• Hands-on development experience in full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) projects utilizing the JAVA 2 Enterprise
Edition (J2EE) platform.
• Strong knowledge/experience of object-oriented design principles, design patterns and modeling.
• Strong experience in developing enterprise web-based transactional applications on a J2EE
platform, preferably Oracle Application Server (Oracle AS).
• Proficiency and creativity in Usability Design.
• Experience in developing web applications using JSTL, Java Server Pages (JSP), XML, HTML and JavaScript.
• Experience in debugging complex web based applications.
• Well versed in SQL and JDBC design/development, preferably on an Oracle platform.
Desirable/Additional skill requirements include:
• Experience with Apache Struts Framework, Apache Ant, and other Apache Jakarta common libraries.
• Familiarity with Inversion of Control (IoC) and Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP) and frameworks, preferable the Spring framework.
• Experience with version control systems, preferable CVS.
• Knowledge of Functional or Automated Testing methods/tools like JUnit and JMeter.
